FAQ

Questions, answered plainly.

Does anything I scan leave my device?

No. OCR, structuring and rendering all run on the device. There are no servers, accounts or analytics. The only network request the app can make is the optional table-model download, and it carries nothing about your captures.

Which devices are supported?

iPhone and iPad running iOS 26 or iPadOS 26 and later. The camera scanner needs a device with a camera; import from Photos and Files works everywhere.

Do I need Apple Intelligence?

No. When it is available the app uses it to refine structure; otherwise a deterministic built-in converter runs. The result screen names which one produced the capture.

What is the 715 MB download for?

Table AI, a small on-device model that re-reads photographed tables. It is optional, offered once, and can be deleted from Settings. See Table AI.

A word came out wrong. Why?

Every mode except Raw OCR passes the text through a language model, which may substitute a likelier word. Reprocess as Raw OCR to see exactly what the recogniser read, or tap Edit to fix it.

Can I edit the Markdown?

Yes. Edit on the Markdown tab, Done commits to the preview and every export, and "Revert to original" undoes all edits.

What formats can I export?

A .md file (copy, share, AirDrop, save to Files or iCloud), plus the original page as the stored image or PDF. Multi-page scans combine into one PDF by default.

Where are my captures stored?

In the app's own container on the device. Settings itemises what the app occupies, originals, the model if present, and the total. Deleting a capture deletes its original.

Can I share images into the app from other apps?

Not yet. A Share Extension is planned; the app is already wired to accept it.

Is it free?

Yes. No purchases, no subscriptions, no ads.
